We started off by performed a full inspection of the artificial turf to identify high-traffic areas, pet odor concentrations, debris buildup, and the condition of the infill. We also captured detailed before photos to document the turf’s condition prior to cleaning.
We then removed leaves, pet hair, twigs, and other organic debris from the turf surface to prepare the area for deep cleaning.
And mechanically groomed the turf to lift matted fibers, loosen compacted infill, and bring embedded debris closer to the surface for more effective cleaning.
We flushed the turf with high-volume water to move urine residue, organic contaminants, and fine debris through the turf system and out of the base layer.
A stabilized hydrogen peroxide solution was then used across the entire treatment area to oxidize odor-causing organic matter and target the bacteria responsible for persistent pet urine odors.
We also used commercial extraction equipment to remove contaminated water and dissolved organic material from the turf, helping reduce the amount of odor-causing contaminants remaining within the system.
We then performed a final rinse to remove any remaining contaminants and leave the turf clean and fresh.
And then applied fresh ZeoFill infill to replenish depleted areas, improve turf support, and provide ongoing ammonia adsorption to help manage future pet odors.
We power-broomed the turf a final time to evenly distribute the ZeoFill, restore the turf fibers to an upright position, and leave the lawn looking clean, uniform, and well-maintained.
To finish, we then completed a final inspection to verify the cleaning met Turf Defenders’ quality standards and captured after photos documenting the completed restoration and overall improvement in the turf’s appearance.
